Katja’s passion for travel was ignited after completing an internship as a travel consultant, which she followed with a long-awaited backpacking trip through Australia. That experience—combined with her early career in travel consulting—set her on a path that has shaped her professional life ever since.

She began working for the Western Australia Tourism Commission as a Marketing Assistant, and over the past 20 years has built deep expertise in tourism marketing—especially in her long-standing work for Tourism NT. Katja is highly experienced in the travel trade distribution system and maintains long-standing relationships within the European travel industry, particularly in German-speaking markets. Her main focus lies in trade education—ensuring that advisors and partners are well-equipped to represent and sell the destinations she supports.

With a diploma in Event Management and qualifications as a certified trainer, Katja brings added value to areas such as trade relations, co-op campaigns, trade media partnerships, event planning, and training. Her holistic understanding of tourism marketing continues to inspire her work every day.
